What is Distillation Systems?

Distillation Process
Feed Preheating
Wastewater is preheated using waste heat from condensing vapors, improving thermal efficiency. Scaling inhibitors may be added to prevent fouling on heat transfer surfaces.
Evaporation
Heated wastewater enters evaporation chambers where reduced pressure or applied heat causes water to vaporize, leaving dissolved solids and non-volatile compounds behind.
Vapor Separation
Water vapor is separated from the concentrate. Mist eliminators remove entrained droplets to prevent carryover of contaminants into the distillate.
Condensation
Purified vapor is condensed back to liquid in heat exchangers, producing high-quality distillate water suitable for reuse or discharge.
Concentrate Handling
Concentrated brine or residue is continuously or periodically removed for further treatment, disposal, or crystallization for zero liquid discharge applications.
