Our STP product range covers three primary process technologies: Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) for compact, operator-friendly biological treatment; Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) for high-quality treated water suitable for reuse; and Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) for automated, single-reactor treatment. Technology selection depends on the client's footprint constraints, operator capability, water reuse requirements, and budget. All three technologies can be configured in packaged (factory-built) or civil-constructed formats.

Spans manufactures packaged STP units in the 10–500 KLD range — fully assembled in our factory and delivered ready for installation. Packaged STPs significantly reduce site construction requirements, ensure quality control over fabrication, and compress project timelines. For larger STPs (>500 KLD), we design civil-constructed systems where our engineering team provides complete drawings for local civil contractors, with Spans supplying all mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment. Treated wastewater reuse is now a standard design objective for India STPs. NGT-compliant STPs for residential apartments typically serve dual-purpose: compliance with local authority discharge standards, and production of treated water for garden irrigation, vehicle washing, or toilet flushing — reducing freshwater consumption by 20–40%. Spans STP designs incorporate reuse water storage and distribution as a standard feature for all projects above 50 KLD.
