Textile Industry Solutions
Wastewater treatment for dyeing, printing, and sizing—color and salt removal, water reuse, and zero liquid discharge
Industry Overview
Textile Industry Solutions
Textile processing—dyeing, printing, sizing, and finishing—produces wastewater with intense color, high dissolved solids (salts), variable pH, and residual dyes and chemicals. Discharge limits for color, COD, and TDS are tightening; water scarcity is driving reuse and ZLD adoption in major clusters.
Spans Envirotech designs treatment trains that combine chemical and biological steps for color and organics removal, followed by membrane concentration and evaporation where ZLD or high reuse is required. Our solutions serve dye houses, composite mills, and processing units with emphasis on color removal, salt management, and operational reliability.
Industry Challenges
Key Environmental Challenges
Color & Dye Removal
Synthetic dyes are resistant to conventional biological treatment. Coagulation, specialized biological processes, or advanced oxidation are needed to achieve acceptable color and COD in effluent.
High TDS & Salt
Salt from dyeing and finishing accumulates in recycle streams. For reuse or ZLD, membrane concentration and evaporation/crystallization are required; brine management must be integrated.
Variable pH & Flow
Batch dyeing and process changes cause pH and flow variation. Equalization and neutralization are essential; biological and physicochemical systems must be robust to shocks.
Our Solutions
Tailored Wastewater Treatment Solutions
Chemical & Biological Treatment
Coagulation-flocculation and primary clarification remove suspended color and part of dissolved organics. Anaerobic and aerobic biological treatment reduce COD and improve color removal with selected microbial consortia or hybrid systems.
Advanced Color & Polish
Oxidation (ozone, Fenton) or adsorption (activated carbon) polish color and recalcitrant COD. Ensures consistent compliance with color and COD limits before discharge or reuse.
Membrane Concentration & ZLD
RO/NF concentrate reject for evaporation and crystallization. Enables high water recovery for reuse and ZLD where mandated, with salt or mixed solid disposal.
