India Water & Pollution Data, Made Simple
Important public data about India's water and pollution is scattered across dense government portals and PDFs. We pull it together and present it clearly — free to explore, cite and share. No sign-up, no paywall.
Groundwater Status of India
How much groundwater each area has left — which districts and blocks are Safe, Semi-Critical, Critical or Over-Exploited, and where quality is affected.
- State → district → block, mapped and searchable
- Over-exploitation and stage-of-extraction
- Why it matters for industrial water use

Sewage Treatment Gap
India generates far more sewage than it can treat. See the gap between how much is generated, installed capacity, and how much is actually treated — state by state.
- Generation vs capacity vs actual treatment
- State-wise dashboard and rankings
- The scale of India's untreated sewage

Tell us your industry and state, and see the discharge standards that apply to you — and what treatment it takes to meet them.
- Industry-wise CPCB / SPCB discharge norms
- Parameter limits at a glance
- What treatment meets each standard

Why we built this
Spans Envirotech has designed and built water and wastewater treatment systems since 1993. We work with this public data every day to help industries plan for water reuse, recycling and compliance. Making it easy for everyone to understand is our way of contributing to a more water-secure India — and of showing the scale of the challenges our technologies help solve.
All figures are drawn from official public sources and shown with their source and date. Where an area is short of water or over its treatment capacity, that is often exactly where water reuse and zero liquid discharge make the biggest difference.
